Found Treasure? Steve Matthews has “found a GPS unit whilst out near Barber Booth yesterday. Looks like it had been there a while. I wouldn’t bother if it was a glove or something but these things aren’t cheap! I think there is a good chance it belongs to a runner as it was close to a race route but not on any of the footpaths.”

Old County Tops:- Lewis “got round the Old Counties Tops again yesterday, ably chivvied by Glen Borrell (on an easy training run).We got round in a very satisfying 9:55, over an hour faster than my last completion. The weather was kinder than the forecast; the sleet and snow held off. But there was a strong westerly blowing all day. There were some distinctly second hand looking people passing ahead of us on the out and back to Coniston Old Man. Nicky broke the women’s course record. First time entrants Josh and Laurence came in 5th. We came in substantially further down the field in the 60’s. Ashley and Ben Robson came in just behind us, making the most of their collective two and a half hours of training in the last six months.” And also a notable 1st Team.results.
