This race, 5 miles, 2,180 feet or thereabouts, is an Andy Harmer production which has the potential to become a classic and certainly deserves to be run again! Some 9 runners started at 6.45 and the rest of us went off at 7 pm. Phil Crowson was notable because of his lack of head torch which resulted in him doing his usual trick of getting lost but enjoying it immensely! Somehow he managed to finish intact. There were many different routes, mine, below is not meant to be the definitive one and no doubt others had a better one (and many had a worse!). We'll have to visit Castleton more often, even the pub was good!
