A fairly small group of Warts turned up at the Ladybower, depleted,no doubt, by the prospect of the HPM at the weekend. We started up the infamous Piddock Wood climb towards Jarvis Clough, but much to the Captain's disappointment we missed the near suicidal climb at the bottom, somehow finding a gentle slope - relatively gentle anyway. After that it was very straightforward, and for once it was neither raining nor blowing a gale, so perhaps a pity that some of us opted for a short one, the route of which is below. I've no idea where the rest of them got to, perhaps we will be enlightened later.

There is a map of this run, view the post to see it

The long group continued on finally descending to Grainfoot Clough via the steep grassy trod next to the wall line from the North. Greg peeled off here and headed straight back up the hill side and the rest continued down to the valley and turned left. After 200m we started our climb first up a forestry track then bashing a way up the hill side on a compass bearing. Topping out by Lead hill although this wasn't confirmed at the time. Then followed the usual race back to the pub to participate in the fine Ales of the Ladybower.
We had two new runners with us this week, Josh and Kirk who hope to join the Warts on a more runs..
