Wed 16th Dec 2015 6:30pmClub runHeadstone Carols

Meet at Tha Sportsman for a ram-shackle potter out to the Headstone, to be followed at 7.15pm sharp by the annual tuneless rendition of a small selection of traditional (and hence largely unsingable) South Yorkshire carols. Thereafter, weather permitting (which it increasingly rarely does), expect a variety of poor route finding back to the pub, where good seasonal cheer will be shared regardless.

All welcome; families, runners, non-runners ... even grumpy old warts who would otherwise not be seen dead in the Sportsman on a Wednesday evening.

Sat 7th Dec 2024 9:30amDPFR raceNorth Grain There and Back

Graham Berry's one-off 70th birthday race was such a gem that the webmaster and calendar agreed in the pub immediately following that we cannot let Graham's 80th pass without a repeat running.  With a winning time on a fine day in December 2014 of 2hrs 15mins, and some stalwarts taking over 3 hours, the 9am start certainly needs retaining for the increasingly more mature.  As to other arrangements - all in good time, folks, all in good time.
