|Sat 7th Feb 2015 9:00am||DPFR race||Margery Hill|
This is an early season, long, winter outing. Although enjoyable it is challenging; the race has been run for 31 years and in that time has been shortened, abandoned as well as survived. There is only one unambiguous hazard - Abbey Brook, which can be a trickle or a torrent. If in doubt do not cross, or seek support.
It is mandatory to carry map/compass and whistle and care for your fellow man/woman. Otherwise dress accordingly (full FRA kit as a minimum), and be aware of conditions on Margery.
There are 2 starts 9 am and 9:30 - use the club champs as a guide (ie sub 2 hours then go in the chase).
Start/finish top car park Fairholmes.
NB.all runners to have signed in and have number on wrist, and declared themselves at the finish, even if dropped out. If any difficulties on the course Head West for the res path. There are no marshalls in this club outing.
Enjoy it, as Andy (race organiser) has for 31 years.
