There are loads of RSS readers now. Safari on OS X and Internet Explorer 7 for Windows support RSS "out of the box", and you will have one of these installed (apart from Linux users, who may well have Firefox installed already). Firefox (free, Windows, OS X & Linux), Google Reader (free, Windows, OS X & Linux), Newsfire (free, OS X) and many others are available if you don't like the way your current reader works.
