The Bradfield Boundary Run has contrived to celebrate both its twentieth and twenty-first anniversaries in the same year. Last year was the twentieth year, but the extreme weather confounded our various attempts to get round. So this will be twentieth running, in the twenty-first year. A very special occasion, and something we didn't really have in mind when we set off on this mad venture back in 1994! To mark the occasion, I'm asking all participants to bring along 21 of something that you think would help us to celebrate the occasion in appropriate Dark Peak style. May your imaginations run riot.
Thanks to everyone who has been in touch to say that they would like to take part. The latest start list is attached here. Please check it, and shout up immediately if you think you should be on there and I've overlooked you, (it would be helpful if you could do that via the Facebook group). There are rather a lot of us! I don't want to turn people away, but please bear in mind that these numbers place quite a load on the support team. To help us, please try to organise your gear so that we can move it around easily in the support vehicles, please remember that the communal food and drink is intended as a top-up for your own body fuel, (i.e. you should carry enough calories to sustain yourself), please come along with a tenner ready to chip in to the support pot, + the cost of a bacon sarnie at Langsett if you want one.
As ever, the run will set off at 6am prompt from outside Loxley School on Rodney Hill. Please remember that the start point is immediately outside people's homes, and that they will not welcome being woken up by our chatter in the early hours. It would help if we could keep conversation at low volume, and also park a little further down the hill, so that are not depriving residents of the space they need for themselves and their families. Any queries, please direct them the Facebook group, which is a tidy way of keeping everyone in the picture simultaneously. Look forward to seeing you all on the day.
