Laurence Piercy blitzes the BG.

Big it up for Laurence Piercy, the quiet man of Dark Peak (and a tad too youthful looking for my liking too), who stormed around the BG today in 17 hours and 40 minutes ... possibly second only to Simon Bourne's 2006 time of 17hrs 20mins in Dark Peak's hall of BG fame? Those who've had the benefit of Laurence's support will attest there's no-one better to have on your shoulder during a round, and returning the favour today he had a fairly stellar cast in support, including Messrs Borrell, Hunt, Lund, Skrimshire, Spinks and Whittaker (and a dog called Wisp) on the hill, and Dr Phant on road support. Congratulations to all.

I understand there may be a celebratory pint or two following Monday night's summer series race above Bradfield.
