Burbage Skyline: licence granted and no plastic cups!

I can confirm that Natural England have granted a licence for the Burbage Skyline to proceed on the proposed new route, subject to some small potential alterations if Ring Ouzels are found to be nesting near the route. (Ring Ouzels are like blackbirds, but with a distinctive white stripe on their breast).

And please be advised that whilst water will be provided at the finish line, we are keen to keep it green and those wanting a drink must bring your own cup or bottle. We suggest leaving one at the finish line or carrying one around; perhaps a portable one such as a “Hydrapak Speedcup Soft Cup”. Unless it is a scorcher, the vast majority of runners will be able to get by without water on a relatively short route like this, and you can always have a drink at the pub – especially as we may even be showing “live results”!

Car sharing is very much encouraged, and the Fox House is served by busses 65 and 272 until pretty late.
