Bob Graham Success for Simon Bourne (photos added)
Here is Simon's Report:-As Hilary has already reported I had a great day out on the Bob Graham yesterday.
I was aiming for a 17h30 schedule so was really chuffed to get round in
17h20. Couldn't have got anywhere close to this without a fantastic support
team who kept me supplied with liquid all the way round - Charlie Adams &
Jonathan Bradshaw (1), Malcolm Patterson & Neil Conway (2), Alan Ward & John
Boyle (3), Dave Harrison & Paul Hague (4), Mark Chapman,Mike Sprot & Andy Middleditch (5).
Mixed weather conditions with low cloud to start - in particular zero visibility all the way from Clough Head to Helvellyn - with Malcolm & Neil's navigation being absolutely spot on.
We were 23 mins up on schedule at Dunmail then it started getting a bit
too warm for comfort. Luckily John had a 'Paula Radcliffe' white cap in his
rucsac which saved me from getting too fried. Was still over 20 mins up
on schedule at Wasdale - then dropped 10 minutes on leg 4.
