Ambleside Races:- watches are only allowed to measure distance covered, the time, etc, but not allowed as a means to follow a GPS track, or to use as a race map. Best to be bringing the traditional map, whistle and compass, methinks...
Revised Notts Fell Championships. Chrome Hill - new information from our esteemed organiser...
Samaria Gorge - details, etc. If, unsurprisingly, you don't know what this is, it looks a scenic national park in Crete, somewhere. Steve Matthews managed to run through it, or round it, or over it, finishing 11th in 2:26:20 (I think..)
Results- in Greek...
Fairfield – the next Lakes Grand Prix event. Please let me know should anyone find any scores for this, or even from last year...Results.
Cressbrook Crawl:- results,
Slieve Donard - results.
Pendle Cloughs – dry, warm, even sunny, something unheard of for Pendle races. A race I can't recommend highly enough. Starting from the scenic village of Downham, a wander all around Pendle, and needing something called navigation. With determined efforts from the organiser, a more respectable number of runners this year. Just as hard as The Tour, but having to find the way. On next year's list? results.
Summer Series 3 – Bamford.
Kildwick – Skipton. A most welcome trend? Only £2.00 entry fee, and cut right back on any prizes. A short and sharp burst around the local village and hillside. Results,
Shining Tor:- results.
Hayfield May Queen:- results.
