Another very cool warts' run! Lots of fun wading through thigh deep snow at 45 minute a mile pace, at one point we did break into a run but only when we were on the ROAD! Yes, Yes it's true, our leader sanctioned a mass run down the road from Higger Tor! To be fair, the alternative of slogging through more thigh deep snow would have meant that the pub would have been closed. We did finish with a "burn up" through Lady Canning's but that was little consolation!

There is a map of this run, view the post to see it
Does anyone think we will be able safely to  drive to Upper Burbage Bridge? I suspect not so how about meeting at Ringinglow (parking opposite the pub I think) then doing something like: through Lady Cannings - Rud Hill - Stanage Pole- Cowper Stone - Rain Gauge - Ox Stones and back? I have had confirmation from a couple of people that the road to Burbage Bridge is impassable, so let's go with Ringinglow, I will amend the calendar but please spread the word. John

needs to be the road opposite the pub, Houndkirk road isn't really driveable

Where exactly at Ringinglow? Is that the Houndkirk Road track?

Can we get across to Ringinglow from the Sportsman side?

Yes does seem like a good idea, I went up the Porter and across to the Ox Stones on Friday, the Burbage road was packed snow and ice.

just read the proposed venue again. the road's not clear, see you at Ringinglow, but more important than warting, where are we drinking afterwards?
