Burbage Summer Sharpener 3

Club races that appear in the calendar are primarily organised for the benefit of our members and are not normally open to non members. It is recommended that non-members who are interested in joining Dark Peak come along to one of our club runs in the first instance.
Date and Time: Wednesday 5th September 2018, 6:30pm
Event type: DPFR race
Gridref: SK260830
League: Not in any Dark Peak League
Notes:

Note the earlier start time of 6:30, to allow everyone a realistic chance of getting round the course before nightfall. Please arrive at Burbage North Bridge car park in time to register and collect your map by 6:25. Tonight's entry fee will be £2 to cover the cost of the maps and prizes. The route is designed to give runners of all speeds a realistic chance of avoiding darkness. If you doubt your abilities, you may want to bring along a head torch just in case, but the race organiser is anticipating that everyone will be in Tha Sportsman by the time the moon is shining. Usual format: you will need navigation skills, a compass and pen, and you will run around the Burbage and Houndkirk areas looking for delightfully obscure controls. As ever, you will do so ENTIRELY at your own risk - if you're not happy with this concept, please do not take part.
