The club championship race will take place on the morning of 25th November. The venue this year will be 'somewhere near the top of the Derwent Valley'. Tim Tett is the course planner and he will divulge the route shortly, so that those of you who are navigationally challenged have the opportunity to check it out in advance. keep watching the website for details of the course. The winning time should be 80-90 minutes. Note that the moors in November can be very bleak, so normal FRA kit requirements will apply.
It will be a handicap start, with snails starting ~10.30am and whippets at ~11.30am. You must pre-enter the race by contacting the handicapper Lynn Bland - despam(email
, email) or phone 0114 2646409 - in advance. It would be helpful to her if you could indicate your approximate speed by ranking yourself against some other folk! The handicapping will appear on the club website, so that you can discover your exact start time in advance and moan to Lynn if you've been given the same start time as Lloyd.
If you cannot run, but are prepared to help with marshalling or timekeeping, then please contact Tim - despam(email
, email) or phone 0114 2667922.
Please endeavour to share transport, since parking spaces in the valley are at a premium. Advertise on the club Car Share page if necessary.
