Simon\'s Paddy Buckley

\"Disappointed to say that I failed to make it round the Paddy Buckley on Saturday. Started in Llanberis at 03.30, and had reached Aberglaslyn in 12h15m, 45 mins down on the 19 hour schedule I was hoping to run to. The clouds had been down for the first two sections over the Glyders and Carnedds with some rain as well, so was really pleased that Al Ward helped me get round bang on schedule. Then started to suffer over the Moelwyns and was losing time on most tops. Was pretty knackered when I left Aberglaslyn, then got caught in a cold wet rainstorm on top of Bryn Banog which left me a shivering wreck. So made the call to retreat before I ended up in an even worse state and made my Mountain Rescue debut!

Have definitely fallen under the PB spell, so intend to be back next year in better shape to try again. Many thanks to everyone who helped me out with support or advice, especially Tom for the maps and routes. \"
