The Italians put out another very good event. The ski resort, part of the Winter Olympics 2006, was a beautiful setting, with cloudless, hot, blue skies. The course was difficult, lots needing a walk, suiting the climbers. We started at 1510m, so the heat and the altitude made it hard. Many competitors from the home countries here just to take part. So we look forwards to Keswick next September. Anyone can run as a Vet individual on the Saturday, with the Open event for all ages on the Sunday. Totally recommended - can't wait, with a real fell descent off Skiddaw.
