Fiendsdale on Saturday 23rd March 1991
This is in the Trough of Bowland, those hills to the East of the M6 just North of Preston that everybody passes on the way to the Lakes. I can't say more than this is a delightful run. I've bought the maps, and I'll be back for a closer more leisurely look.
One surprise on finishing was to find that Malcolm Patterson had also made a rare appearance, especially so far from home. What was of no surprise was that he won in a new record time. Bob Berzins was also there which made us a team. If I'd come in 26 minutes sooner, we'd have won the 3rd team prize!
