The organisers did a sterling job of marking the entire 13 mile course thus ensuring that no navigation skills or initiative was needed. That said, the course was tough and varied with 2 miles of forestry track to start (and finish) and plenty of tussocks and rock in between. The climb up Ben Each a vertical heather is particularly memorable. Fine performances from Claire Crofts and Barry Thackery earned them second place points and the Dark Peak Ladies captured the team prize.
