A surprisingly low turn out for the 3 tops in near perfect conditions, a bit of snow and frost with a chill wind but clear sky.The ground was heavy going though so no records this year.
Tom set off alone on the fast start and did see the other runners but never passed them on his route coming home a clear winner. James on his first race on what should be local terrain went AC/W to Outer edge but then descended west to the Dakota wreck thinking the ground would be drier surprisingly came second and first vet.
Russ was third and first clock wise runner. Jim Paxman 1st Vet 60 and Kev followed in soon after having done the out and back route up Cutgate to OE and MH. Then Gabor (soon to be Dark Peak's newest member) who had travelled from Hungary with his dog to run this prestigious race came in a few minutes later.
Barry Needle turned up to cheer in the runners and join us at the pub for prize giving where once again everyone got a prize…No green tomato jam this year.
